A landmark project advancing public safety, sustainability, and community resilience.

Lunacon Construction Group is proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Marine Patrol Facility at 1790 Purdy Avenue in the City of Miami Beach. Developed as part of the City’s voter-approved 2018 General Obligation Bond Program, this project represents another significant investment in public safety, resilient infrastructure, and the future of one of South Florida’s most vibrant waterfront communities.

Working in partnership with the City of Miami Beach and M.C. Harry & Associates, Lunacon is honored to help bring this vision to life through the construction of a modern facility that will support both emergency response and community services for decades to come.

A New Home for Miami Beach's Marine Patrol Operations

The new 9,650-square-foot, three-story Marine Patrol Facility will replace the City’s existing headquarters and provide a centralized operations center for both the Miami Beach Police Department Marine Patrol Unit and the Miami Beach Fire Department Marine Patrol Unit.

The facility has been thoughtfully designed to improve operational efficiency while enhancing the City’s ability to respond quickly across Biscayne Bay.

The facility will include:

Ground Floor

Second Floor

Third Floor

By bringing multiple agencies together under one roof, the facility will strengthen collaboration, improve emergency preparedness, and enhance public safety throughout the community.

Building with Sustainability at the Core

Sustainability is a fundamental part of this project—not simply an added feature.

Designed to achieve LEED® Gold Certification, the Marine Patrol Facility reflects the City’s commitment to creating resilient, environmentally responsible public infrastructure while supporting long-term operational performance.

Each element has been carefully selected to support both functionality and long-term resilience in a demanding coastal environment.

Building Communities That Last

For Lunacon Construction Group, every project is an opportunity to create lasting value for the communities we serve.

The Marine Patrol Facility represents more than the construction of a new building. It reflects a shared commitment to protecting residents, strengthening emergency response capabilities, advancing sustainability, and investing in infrastructure that will serve future generations.
We are grateful to the City of Miami Beach, M.C. Harry & Associates, project partners, and everyone whose collaboration has helped make this milestone possible.

As construction begins, Lunacon looks forward to delivering another project built with the quality, safety, and excellence our clients have come to expect.
